Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about StreamKit — how it works, what's supported, and how to get the most out of it.

Getting started
Do I need to register an account?
No. Just click Sign in with Kick or connect your Twitch account — your StreamKit profile is created automatically from your OAuth identity. No email, password, or registration form needed.
How long does setup take?
Most creators are up and running in under five minutes. Sign in, subscribe to events with one click, enable the modules you want (AutoMod, Chat Bot, Loyalty), and StreamKit immediately starts working with your channel. There's nothing to install.
Is StreamKit free?
Core features — AutoMod, Chat Bot, Loyalty, event inbox, and the dashboard — are free. Some upcoming features (like Discord integration) will be available for subscribers first. Check the Pricing page for details.
Platforms
Which platforms does StreamKit support?
StreamKit currently supports Kick and Twitch. Both platforms are first-class — you can connect accounts for either or both, and all modules work across them. Discord integration is in development and will be available to subscribers first.
Can I connect both Kick and Twitch at the same time?
Yes. From the Connections page in your dashboard you can connect accounts from multiple platforms. StreamKit will handle events and bot commands across all connected channels simultaneously.
Features
How does the Chat Bot work?
The bot listens for chat.message.sent webhook events. When a viewer types a command like !ping, StreamKit matches it against your custom commands and sends a reply. Responses can include dynamic placeholders: {'{'}user{'}'}, {'{'}count{'}'}, or live data fetched from any public URL via {'{'}fetch:URL{'}'}.
Do I need a separate bot account?
No — by default the bot sends messages using your broadcaster account. If you want responses to appear from a separate identity (e.g. MyChannelBot), you can optionally connect a second account as the dedicated bot account from the Connections page.
How is watchtime and loyalty tracked?
Watchtime is tracked in configurable windows (e.g. every 10 minutes). Viewers earn points for each activity window while your stream is live. StreamKit uses webhook events to detect when you go live and offline, so tracking is fully automatic with no manual start/stop required.
Can viewers see the leaderboard without an account?
Yes. Your public leaderboard is accessible to anyone with the URL — no account needed. You can share it in your stream, Discord, or Kick bio and viewers can see their ranking in real time.
What AutoMod filters are available?
StreamKit's AutoMod includes 7 configurable filters: banned words/phrases, spam detection (message rate), URL drops, excessive caps, repeated messages, emote spam, and Zalgo/unicode abuse. Each filter supports 4 action types: delete, timeout, warn, or ignore.
Is there a public API I can use?
Yes. StreamKit exposes a Public API that lets you fetch streamer data — stream status, subscriptions, loyalty stats, and event history — using per-user credentials. Credentials are generated from your dashboard and can be rotated or revoked at any time. See the API documentation for details.
Account & data
How do I delete my account or data?
You can request full data deletion from the Settings page in your dashboard, or by contacting us via the support form. We take privacy seriously and will process deletion requests promptly.
What data does StreamKit store?
StreamKit stores your OAuth tokens (encrypted), your module configurations, loyalty point totals and watchtime records, and a rolling inbox of webhook events. We don't store full chat logs or personal viewer data beyond what's needed for loyalty tracking.
